Chinese New Year๐Ÿ‰ ๐Ÿฎ

Hola everyone. After our EOTC activities our class is starting to get back on track with our interesting topic this week. This week we have been learning more about different kinds of New Years such us the Chinese New Year.

We had to get at least 10 facts about the Chinese new year. Then we had to either choose if wanted to make a simple Chinese lantern or take a challenge and try to draw the Chinese dragon. I ended up drawing the dragon. After we had either finished our lanterns or dragons we had to write the ten facts around our lantern or dragon.

Unfortunately I haven't finished my dragon yet but I hope I can show them later on.

Here is some of the facts I have written down:

Have a wonderful weekend. What are some of facts you know about Chinese New Year?

Kids can Super Fun Run

Hello everybody. This week has been very exiting with our fun run happening.

The Kids can fun run had previously occurred on Wednesday.  The main purpose of the fun run was to donate to kids can. We get to get prizes after The fun run ended. The 4 people who donated the most get to pie a teacher.

The event was held at Kyle park, I was one of the people that helped set it up. Our fun run had hurdles, a bouncy castle, foam sponges and a water slide.

The seniors would run two times around the park and go on the obstacles. We went down a water slide, under a cargo net and over and under hurdles. After that we went through a bouncy castle and past the people who were trying to hit us with foam sponges.

Classes had to wear costumes. Our class theme costume were Tutus. It was made by a net-like fabric. It was really fun and I enjoyed running over the obstacle course.

Here are some photos of the fun run:

100 word count 'A Dizzy Bee'

Kumusta everyone this week's 100 word count is about a picture. If you don't what '100 word count' means, then I will be able to explain it to you. Basically our teacher gives us a topic to write about and try to have a story with 100 words. The topic we relate our story about can be a picture, five words or a sentence.

My story is about a studio making a stop motion but a dizzy bee comes inside their studio. What do you think will happen next?

Here is my 100 word count writing:

Week 4

“Ready for stage 2!” yelled the director. A group of people came together and tried to shoot

a stop motion film.

Some were really, really tired and had sore eyes from the flashing camera.

Though something unexpected happened. A flying, dizzy bee started wandering

around their studio. Everyone panicked until it laid down on their studio table and

they noticed it didn’t have sting. They were all sad knowing that the bee wouldn’t

make it. They ended up making the stop motion film with the bee. It ended up as a documentary

and what adventures of a bee could’ve had.

Thank you for reading this blog post.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Always welcome to blog. If you ever find a dizzy what will you do?

My descriptive writing

Hola everyone. This week we have been working on descriptive writing. We were given a picture to describe in present tense.

The picture is about a girl having her birthday. We weren't allowed to give them names but if I could I would name the birthday girl 'Felicia'.

Here is my descriptive writing:

Click! The tube of the lighter lit up a small yellow fire fluttering left and right. The smell of the

gray fire smoke ruffled into my nose making me take a big sneeze. A bright yellowy orange

fire lit up the shiny colorful candles stuck through a fluffy, soft sponge cake covered with

chocolate frosting.

Millions of sprinkles slowly drizzle off the exquisite chocolate cake. On top of the cake, kit kat,

mars bars and m&ms were scattered near the dripping candles. The lonely green gummy bear

sit in the middle of the cake

A fine lady occurs in front of the cake and makes a shiny smile exquisite as sunshine.

She flicks her gorgeous, smooth, blondy brown hair as she looks at her cake feeling delighted.

Week 2 100 word count story

Hello everybody, our task for this week's 100 word count story is adding the important five words, that we were sent, to our story. We don't usually get five words so it was little bit of a challenge for me. We usually get a a sentence or a picture to relate in our story.

These are the five words: Concrete, Fluffy, Scooter, Red and Danced.

These word made me think about a dancer who was actually not who they think she is when out of stage.

Here is my story:

The tapping music bummed through my ears as I danced through the lavish red carpet as my bright velvet dress swinging left and right. Though after my wondrous performance the bright lights then turned off and my glorious self then disappeared. My life isn’t that spectacular when I’m not on stage. I got picked up by one of my friends on a scooter bike. I am quite poor but with my talent I am able to earn money. I am back to sleeping on concrete instead of a fluffy blanket and resting on a top quality bed. Though I know I can keep on dreaming though I know that dream will never happen.

Thank you for reading this blog post.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Always welcome to comment. What would you have felt if you were the girl in this story?

'But I had to see what was inside....' 100 word count Prompt story

Hello wonderful readers. We are back at school and this is the first week after having a fantastic Holiday. For the first week we still have been doing our 100 word counts as usual.

This week's prompt is a sentence which is, 'but I had to see what was inside'. It made me think about a person locked up and seeking to get out but finds out the horrible truth.

Here my 100 word count story:

I slowly opened my eyes and all I could see was dark black cloth covering my face. I later on felt a cold floor hitting my palm. As soon as they took off the black cover on my face the first thing I saw was a room covered with walls. I started to hear a random person yelling. It was coming from the left wall. It was really strange, I was guessing that others were also locked up in a very strange room like me. I didn’t know what was going on but I had to see what was inside.

Thank you for reading this blog post.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Tree Planting ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ˜

Kia Ora everyone. On Thursday this week a group of people went to Springfield to plant some trees on the farm. I was one of those people. The others that went were The trusted trekkers, the health leaders and more. To get there some of us had to ride in a van while the others went on another vehicle. We had a problem with the sits due to some miss calculation. The van could hold 12 people but all together including Miss D (the person in charge), we were all 13 people inside. So one of us had to share with someones seat and of coarse share a seat belt. After that was solved we carried on going to our destination.

We finally got to the farm and went to the place we were planting trees. The holes were already dug for us so that we wouldn't take too long. First we had to get a tablet r fertiliser inside the hole and remove the pot (if there is one) attached to the plant. Then we place the plant inside and cover it with soil. We also had to put a wool like blanket over the branches. We also had to cover it with a green cover thing to keep the rabbits away from damaging it and also to prevents it from the wind.

Here are some photos:

Buddy class ๐Ÿ˜

Hola everyone today we had buddy class. We have been working on playing board games with our buddies and teaching them new games. Today I chose to play 'Connect 4' with my buddy Steffi.

First I taught Steffi how to play 'Connect 4'. When we first played I won, of course. Though Steffi got used to playing and then finally won. I didn't notice it at first neither did Steffi. Steffi then got used to it and won multiple times but I didn't back down I also won a couple of time more than her. Miss Frost then approached us and said "Who ever wins this round I will verse." Of course me and Steffi got competitive and later on I won. I had to verse Miss Frost but I was way to distracted with thinking of my moves that she won.

Here are some pictures of how Buddy Class went:

100 word count "How was lockdown?" ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Kumusta everyone, this week's 100 word count prompt is a sentence, 'How was lockdown for you'. It made me think about my lockdown but I started thinking outside the box. I decided to make a fiction story which means a made-up story because I didn't want to talk about my lockdown. It is quite similar to real life but I luckily made it quite different. It is about a person who get interview and asked "How was lockdown for you?"

Here is my story:

100 word count ๐Ÿ˜

Hello everyone, this week's 100 word count is about a picture. If you don't know what a 100 word count means, it means a story that has 100 words. Our teacher either gives us a picture, 5 words or a short sentence to relate in our writing. This week it's a picture of a polar bear stuck in the middle of the ocean.

Here is the picture and the story:

I woke up finding my little cub wasn’t beside me. I asked everyone but I didn’t find him. Until a bear told me he had gone over the barriers. So I went searching for him. Though I was tired to move any longer. I then woke up in the middle of the ocean. Though a dark shadow walked towards me in the mist. I thought it was my cub so I walked towards the shadow but I was wrong. It was a man instead and a loud bang made me collapse and never to see my little cub ever again.

Thank you for reading this blog post. Always welcome to comment. Have a wonderful day.

What would you have written about this picture? What do you think happened to the cub?

Sculpting a Turtle ๐Ÿข

Kumusta everyone, this week for our reading we have been focusing on arts and crafts. One of our reading follow up was to rewrite the tips about sculpture we had read about. Then we had to make try sculpting an object of our choice. Our groups didn't really read the activity properly so we all end up sculpting an animal.

Here is a slideshow showing my reading follow up activity:

Teaching board games to our Buddies๐ŸŽฒ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿงฉ♟️

Hello everyone today's blog post is about buddy class. We played board games with our buddies to show what we could do if it was raining outside. There were many games that we could play with our buddies. We also had to follow the values that was expected for us to do during wet days. Taking care of our equipment was one of them. Inside voices, sharing equipment, playing kindly and listening to our wet weather monitor were also the values we had to follow.

I decided that I wanted to play UNO with my buddy. Though my first decision was to play connect four because it was easier to tell my buddy how to play. So I just decided I was going to play UNO, It was the only game left that I knew and wanted to play. It was quite hard to explain to my buddy how to play but she managed. People also asked us if they could play with us and we answered with a yes. On one of the games we played I won. Though that was the only win I had due to some interruptions. Though it went well.

Here is some photos:

How Winter Sports Went ๐Ÿ’⚽๐Ÿ‰

Hello Reader, This blog post is about last week's winter sports.

When the bell rang we had to line up at the court in our sport lines. Each sport team had a teacher/staff that looked after them. Our one is Miss Scott. When we went to the field we were kind of lost. We didn't knew what field we were playing on. Luckily we finally found our field and then found our coaches. The eagles coach which is my coach, was called Adi. The other teams coach was called Tina. Adi didn't knew a lot about hockey though she plays rugby and basketball. We had to introduce ourselves and introduce the sport to Adi. We talked about what kind of skills we needed to work on. When we started our game, we versed Wigram. On the first round I was a defender, a few round later I decided to be an attacker though it made everyone made a big bunch. The defenders weren't guarding the goalie like they were suppose to be. They were with the attackers making a big bunch. The game went pretty well and I'm expecting this week's winter sport will be even better.

Here are some photos of the Hawks and The Eagles:

Winter Sports Starting ๐Ÿ‘⚽๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ…

Hello everyone, today seniors from our school will be competing with other seniors from other schools. In term 2 we chose sports that we wanted to do for winter sports. The choices that we could choose were: Hockey, Netball, Soccer and Rugby. Out of those choices, I chose hockey. Last year I also played hockey so that means I had quite a bit of experience from last year. Each sport was separated into teams. Some sports have 2, 3 or 4 teams. The game will start after our lunch is over. The seniors are very excited and so am I. I hope our first games will turn out great.

Thank you for reading this blog post.
I hope you have an awesome weekend.

Technology Challenge ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Hello everyone. Today we had a Technology challenge. Our teacher gave us a problem and we had to solve it. There are poisoned plants that have grown next to a tree. We had to get the fruit that was on the tree without stepping on the floor or the poisoned plants (felts). Each group had to make stilts to be able to cross over the poisoned plants and grab the fruit (aka yellow ball). We had 20 minutes to make our stilts. When you reached the finish line our stilts had to be measured.

We actually had no idea what stilts were but we just took the challenge and made whatever we could. Our equipment that we could use was scissors (to cut), some news paper and a 2 metre string. Our team was really frustrated and we were clearly not working as a team. We decided on one thing and then a few minutes we had another idea. Basically we were just switching ideas to ideas.

We had no more sellotape and our stilt kept on braking. We were all frustrate and didn't know what to do until our teacher said we only had 5 minutes left. For the last 5 minutes we just stuffed the newspaper into one of our teammates shoes. Apparently we were allowed to use our shoes. All the teams were basically disqualified either because they fell or their paper were to thin to be measured.

Here is some photos of us doing the challenge:

๐ŸŽ‰Last Blog Post of the Term๐ŸŽ‰

Hello everyone, it's the last week of Term 2, meaning the holidays are near. For 100 word count, we had to have a phrase that our teacher has given us. The phrase that was given to our class was 'and then I saw it'.
It's an interesting phrase. I decided to make a story about a traveller trying to get to her destination, which is called Sunset falls.

Here is my 100 word count:
I like to travel places until I find something amazing. Legends has it that if you hike to the Sunset falls and make a wish at the same time as the sunset, it will come true. So I hiked to the sunset falls. When it started setting I only had one wish. “I wish to see my mother.” I said.  Till this day I believe that she is still alive. After my wish a bright shiny light shone in my eyes and it whispered in my ears, “It’s me, my daughter. You don’t need to be scared, I’m somewhere safe.”

Recycling

Good day readers and viewers. For this week, our reading group had been learning about recycling and how it will make the world a better place. There are different types of things that can be recycled. For our 'Must do' activity we had to make a flowchart how to recycle either paper, plastic or cardboard. I chose to make a flowchart on how to recycle plastic.

Here is my flowchart:

100 Word Count ๐Ÿ˜

Hola everyone, for this week's 100 word count our prompt this week was... 'Then the Elephant delivered his speech'. If you don't know what a 100 word count is then I can explain it to you. A 100 word count story is a story that has 100 words. You are then given a picture, a sentence or 5 words. For this week our teacher gave us a sentence. My 100 word count story is about a village filled with animals trying to get rid of the lions in their village.

This is my 100 word count:
Herbivores of the village came to the beautiful lake. They started eating plants from the lake. It was peace and quiet until two lion cubs came rolling over the grass. The herbivores started running away. The great elephant came and gave the two cubs an angry look. The great elephant gathered all the animals then the Elephant delivered his speech “It is time for the two cubs to go on their own. They can’t stay forever.” The great elephant was disappointed and pointed to the other side of their village where the lions would leave and start their own journey.

Thank you for reading this story.
I hope you have a great weekend.

Narrative Week 7

Hola everyone, this term we have been doing narratives. This is lasts week's narrative. Our narrative has to be related to the picture out teacher gave us. Week 7's narrative is about a spy. The story I wrote is about a lady who went to an auction but couldn't find what she needed. If you don't know what an auction means, it means an event that people go on to. The people that go in the auction try to get the buy items that are being sold. The person who gives the highest number of money will win the item or property.

Here is my story:

Click! Clack! Click! I was walking in a metal hallway as my high heels were making loud
clicking noises. I stopped walking and I turned the doorknob in front of me. “You’re finally here Ms. Sierra.” My boss said.
“Well it was hard trying to get here in England without being caught” I said.

“I have a mission for you. I want you to keep an eye on Mr. Richard.
He took one of my finest cars in the whole entire world and I want it back in my hands.
Get the car and give it to me. He will be at an event at 10.30 pm, you will disguise as
Ms. Brickle. He’ll be using the car that you will need to steal, he’s kind of a show off.
I hope you finish this job I have tasked you to do Ms. Sierra. I expect you to finish this in 5 hours.
I really need it tonight.” My boss said firmly. I walked away and got ready.

I opened the car door and hopped on my car and drove to the event and disguised myself
as Ms. Brickle. I walked with confidence and got in. I quickly started searching
for Mr. Richard but he was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly three bright lights switched on and focused on the stage.
“Welcome everyone, thanks for coming to this special event. We will now be starting
the auction.” A man said. “First up is the 67 shell-back gt-500, we will start the bid
with 15,000 dollars, do I hear 15,000, 15,000.” The man continued.
“30,000”. A lady said.
“30,000?!?!? Going once, going twice, IT'S YOURS.” The man yelled.
While the man was still talking I looked around but Mr. Richard was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly I heard a chatter behind the curtains at the side of the wall. I took a peek,
There was a secret room hiding behind the curtains. Behind the red thick curtains there
were 20 bodyguards guarding the Mansory Ferrari. I was so shocked my eyes were
almost as big as a wheel. Mr Richard wasn’t there but his car was. I asked myself
“Maybe it’s for the bidding.” I sneaked in the room without anybody noticing.
Then suddenly a body guard caught me and yelled, “ HEY!!!” All the bodyguards were
alarmed and stared at me. “ Ugh. They are making this more hard for me.” I whispered.

“Hiyah!” I yelled as I did an axe kick on one of the body guards. I fought my way through the
vehicle but there were too many, I had to retreat. I made my way out of the room. Then suddenly
a ringing sound made me shiver. It was my boss. My phone was buzzing like crazy.
I grabbed the phone and answered the call. “ Did you finish the job?” My boss asked.
I answered with, “ I’m sorry, I couldn't get it.” He was furious, he started yelling
“ YOU HAD ONE JOB. ONE. JOB and then you fail.” He was screaming so loud
I had to push the phone away from my ear. Then he said a sentence that made me freeze,
“YOU’RE FIRED.” His words echoed in my mind, It made me so shocked that I dropped
the phone. I kept thinking “ He's just joking right. This must be a joke, It has to be.”
But in my mind I knew it wasn’t a joke. I failed.

I sat down laying on the wall. I looked up at the sky and back down. I started crying.
“ Everything is gone now, my sister and my job.” I sobbed. I had my knees close to me
and held them tight as I cried. Then suddenly someone approached me and asked
“ Are you okay Miss?” I looked up at the man, it was Mr Richard?!?!
“Umm, I-I I’m fine” I said while shivering.
“You must be cold, here take my coat.” He said. He gave me his coat and I thanked him.

He was nice after all. I guess my boss was lying.
He didn’t steal any car, it was his. After all the commotion we became friends.
This is the end of the story.
I’m glad that this story had a happy ending……. But is this really the end?

The End

100 word count Week 7

Kumusta everyone, This week's 100 word count is about a picture. Sometimes we have to write a 100 word count containing 5 word or a sentence and sometimes about a picture. My 100 word count story is about a girl called Serena and she lived like a maid, kind of like Cinderella. She had a dog but her step mother threw it away from their house.

Here is my 100 word count writing for this week:

There was a girl called Serena who lived like a maid just liked Cinderella.  She also has a stepmother and step brothers who treated her like she was not in their family. She did not eat with them, she did not talk to them, with just one click of a finger she knew what to do. One morning she snuck out to find her dog that her mother threw away. She followed her dog. “Wait up!” She yelled. Then he stopped as Serena looked at the ground then she looked up and saw a glorious lake. “It’s beautiful!” She whispered.

Water or Soda (Translated in Tagalog)

Hello everybody, A staff/teacher at our school asked the Filipino group to translate one of our blog posts in Tagalog which is my native language. So now I will be translating it to Tagalog. Some of the words might be in English because we don't have that word in Tagalog.

Pwede kayo palagi mag comment.
Mag ingat po kayong lahat.

This Week's 100 word count

Greetings everyone. This weeks 100 word count activity includes 5 words. Those words were: Box, raccoon, chair, sky, leaf.

My 100 word count is about me and I remembered my best friend. This is not a true story.

Here is my 100 word count story:
“Uhg, finally I’m home.” I said while opening the door. I had just gotten home to get my mail. I sat down on the chair and sighed. I started opening the box with a box cutter. It was filled with pictures that me and my best friend took when we were still in high school. I still remembered the day before she left. We were both looking at the sky like it was our last day seeing each other. Then we started walking and randomly stumbled onto a raccoon holding a leaf. It was very strange, I still missed her.

Thank you for reading this blog post.
Have a wonderful week.
