Anti-Bullying Activities

 Hello everyone.

Last week in outstanding we have been talking anti-bullying. We also got activities to learn more about it. first we watched some clips that can start bullying. For example someone being mean to the victim or the victim getting name-called.

The start of the activities we first had to read a book necessarily something about bullying. We already had our reading group decided so each group had their own to  book to read.
I read a book called benny. It about 2 guys who are bestfriends and their friendship starting to collapse.

One of the activities was make a title page for the book we have read. Link to read Benny.
Here is the results:

Canterbury Floods Report

Good day everyone.

Last week in outstanding we have been talking about the recent canterbury floods. For this activity we were told to read a new report about the canterbury floods and from the info we have gathered we were to make a blog post about our report.

The rain that caused the flood started at sunday afternoon at christchurch though for others the start of the flood might have began at Monday. A major code-red warning has been sent out for places like ashburton, springfield, and many more. The acting minister for emergency management, Kris Faafoi came to canterbury to deal with the heavy rain. It was said that 3000 houses were at risk of flooding. Because of the major floods springfield about 30 houses were evacuated and with help from fire crew they were able to get help from communities and from their friends and family.

Homes that were near the river were advised to self-evacuate. Other school that were majorly impacted were tasked to close. There were about 52 schools closed due to the flood.

Thank you for reading this blog post.

Cyberbullying Poster

 Hello everyone.

Last week for outstanding we have been talking about how we can be an outstander. While on the topic of being an outstander we talked about cyberbullying and how it is different to the traditional way of bullying. Normally when someone say bullying, the first thing that you think of is physical bullying. Though cyberbullying is different because this is a type of bullying that happens online. While talking about the differences of the two types of bullying we also got into the consequences that might resolve cyberbullying.
For example, you can be fined up to $50,000 as an individual although for companies its usually up to $200,000. After we have learnt a lot about cyberbullying we were tasked to create a DLO about cyberbullying.
Here is my Poster/DLO:
