Water or Soda (Translated in Tagalog)

Hello everybody, A staff/teacher at our school asked the Filipino group to translate one of our blog posts in Tagalog which is my native language. So now I will be translating it to Tagalog. Some of the words might be in English because we don't have that word in Tagalog.

Pwede kayo palagi mag comment.
Mag ingat po kayong lahat.

Cyber smart 'Cartoon Yourself!'

Bonjour everyone, this weeks cyber smart is about trying to cartoon yourself.

This is how I cartooned myself:
First make a google drawing of course
Then you had to take a picture of yourself.
After that you had to out line your face and hair over the picture with a tool called curve.
You also had to outline the dark parts of your face. You can make the lines thicker.
Then you had to colour it. Colour it like the same as the picture.
Then remove the picture under it.
You can remove the outline when you have finished colouring. (Own choice).
Then you are done.

Here is what mine looks like.

For example:
Don't leave your Chromebook laying down on the floor.
Don't have foods and drinks near your Chromebook while working.
Charge your Chromebook.
HUG AND HOLD

Techie Crew Learning Binary Alphabet

Hello everyone, for our challenge in the Techie crew we learn about bit, byte, kilobyte and more. The CPU says a number and the GPU translates it to a letter.

Here is a picture of the Binary alphabet.
Our task is to spell our name using Binary alphabet.

01010110 01000101 01001110 01001001 01000011 01000101

Translates to my name : VENICE
It has to be a capital because the small letters have a different code.

We also had to colour a paper with 3 different numbers to learn how fast the GPU can calculate the screen. We had to grab 3 different colours. A blue pencil, A yellow coloured pencil, A black coloured pencil.

Here is what it looked like after colouring the piece of paper filled with bits.

The Techie Group

Hello everyone, the techie group is back and we were learning about some basic hardware parts of the computer.
The names were RAM, ROM, CPU, Mass storage and GPU.

RAM also knows as Random Access Memory.
RAM runs between CPU and Mass Storage. It also forgets everything when you close the lid.

ROM also knows as Read Only Memory
ROM tells you basic instructions.

Mass Storage
Mass Storage helps keep your documents all together.

GPU, Graphics Processing Unit
GPU focuses on showing everything on your screen.

CPU, Central Processing Unit
CPU is very fast and smart. CPU turns info into instructions.

How to make a good screencastify 😀

Good day everyone, today I will be showing you how to make a good screencastify. This is last week's cyber smart i'm just finishing it. There were five tips about making a good screencastify.

The first one is "short but incredible", this means your video should be between 30 sec - 2 min long. The second one is "face in the frame", this means your face must be inside the frame at all times. I didn't put the webcam for my screencastify though, The third one is "Face the Camera" this means you should be looking at the camera. The last tip is "Speak clearly" it means that you should not talk in a quite voice.

Those are all the 5 tips of making a good screencastify.
Here is my screencastify showing "How to Make a good screencastify". Hope you enjoy.

My Cool Maze (Llama and Doughnut)

Hello everyone, I have been working with the techie group with Miss Morgan and we have been making mazes.

First we had to change the characters. The characters could be animals, people or things. We had to choose two characters. The first character must go to the other character. Then we had to make a backdrop. We also added some traps. if you touched them you go back where you started.

I think i made the backdrop harder. Then we started to create the code. It was cool. I made it say something when it touches the doughnut.

Here is a picture my maze and code:

Be Positive Cyber Smart

Hello readers, last Monday we did our Cyber Smart. It was about being positive online and offline. We watched a video about being positive. Then we had to create a poster about it. The video was about negative comments online. If negativity is spread, everybody will think the same. That is why we need to keep positive.

Here is a photo of my poster:

Cyber smart for the first week!!😄

Hello everyone.
This is another term since the holidays ended. Our teacher said we would be doing cyber smart for a few days because we haven't been doing cyber smart since last term. We were able to have time in our timetable for our cyber smart.

Our Teacher decided to have cyber smart every Monday.  Our task for cyber smart is to know what is personal and private.Private information must be only talked about people you trust. Personal information are simple info about you. Like your favourites or what kind of pets you have.

Before sharing any info about you have to check if you can trust them or if your telling personal info about you. If you tell your private information about you to the internet you might be in trouble. We talked about what is personal and what is private for a while. Then we had to write what is personal and what is private.

Here is a picture of my work showing what is personal and what is private:

Computational thinking with Miss Morgan

Just now miss Morgan and 5 students has been doing algorithm. We did step by step instructions. Those 5 students was Aaron, Tory, Jhrnylle,Celine and me. We got into groups. Celine and Jhrnylle were groups. Me, Tory and Aaron were in a group of three. First we made an instruction about how to make a toast. Then after that one of our teammate had to write the instruction of the other person who were saying the instructions to the person who is acting like a robot. I was the person who was telling the instruction and Tory was the one who was doing the instruction I said. Aaron was the one writing the instruction i said. It was hard for Aaron because I kept on saying "Wait its wrong its wrong." He had to delete some of the stuff he wrote. It was also hard for me because Tory and I couldn't understand each other.  We had to do it on lego we were building something it was hard for me to memorise the figure but good thing we could take a look again. First i was confused but it was alright afterwards.

Here are the instruction we wrote the Lego one is a bit wrong:

Our First Cyber Smart For Term 2!! 😆

Hello readers, viewers and bloggers.
We finally had our first Cyber Smart Lesson for term 2. Our lesson was learning all about Miss Morgan and Cooper by going to her blog. We had a padlet to write all the information we could find. We had buddies and my buddy was my friend Sonnie. This cyber smart was about not publishing too much information about you and people you talk about on the internet.

Here is a padlet where we wrote our information about Miss Morgan and Cooper.
