ReplyDeleteDid you know that Sir Edmund Hillary climbed Mount Everest which is 8,848 metres tall? It is Earth's highest mountain above sea level! Unfortunately he passed away on 11 January 2008, meaning that he lived until he was 88 years old.
I think it is great that you wanted to ask him about his childhood. He already would have received thousands of questions about his climbing journey! If you are interested, you should check the video clip in the link below. It tells you all about the history.
