Summer Learning Journey Day 5 activity 1

On your blog tell us whether you think logging should be allowed in New Zealand. Be sure to provide at least two reasons to support your argument.

Birds that live on trees needs homes, but we also need homes. So I prefer that we should log trees for us to have homes. But also make homes for the ones who live on trees such as owls. Kids like me, like to see birds they never seen before. I've decided that I will choose to log the tree, why? It's because other people need homes. You might be saying "birds also need home". My answer to that question is "we can also make homes for them so we should also make homes for birds instead of just making houses for us. We should be careful not to ruined there homes.

That is all and please give me some feedback.

  1. Hi Venice,

Your response to this issue is very thoughtful and considerate. Who would have thought that in return of cutting down trees, we can take little more time and effort to care for those who live in the forest. It would be quite challenging to carry this straight into action because the loggers are trying to complete their job by cutting down many trees with speed - to build the houses and make paper etc. I definitely think that your voice should be heard so we can take the first steps into changing the world. Ideas like this matter and I think you have done a brilliant job thinking about the ways to resolve this problem.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me Venice, you have indeed touched my heart!

    Happy blogging,
    Susie
