Filipino Salu Salo

My culture celebrates our Independence day. The Filipinos were once freed by the Spanish people. Our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was killed because he was defending our country from the invasion of the Spanish. Every year, we celebrate our Independence Day from being free from the Spanish. On Friday night June 14th , all the Filipino primary Students went to Hornby High School auditorium . The Salu Salo was organised by the Hornby High School Filipinos. It began at 6pm-8pm. It was a long night. There were so many different performances by the Filipinos. We had to miss our buddy class to practice our performance. We danced the Filipino folk dance called "Itik-Itik," which is a performance about the ducklings. Some of the Filipinos brought Filipino food with them. We wore our traditional clothes. We performed today at our school Assembly.

Here is the performance:

    2. Hi Venice.
I don't know what culture I would like to learn about. I do like listening to people who are from another country talk,as some of them have an accent and it sounds nice.
