Filipino Star Lantern

Hello Everyone, last Friday the Filipino Club made Filipino lanterns, we call "parol."   It is shaped like a star. The lantern is put up when Christmas is near. Filipinos would decorate their houses with the Christmas lanterns. We got into groups, so it was a group work.

We made it out of paper, straws and tinsels. The paper we used were card stock. We folded strips of papers. Then shaped them like a star. Then we made another copy of the star. We glued together the edges of the two paper stars.  We put a little piece of straw inside to make it stand out.
