Filipino Star Lantern

Hello Everyone, last Friday the Filipino Club made Filipino lanterns, we call "parol."   It is shaped like a star. The lantern is put up when Christmas is near. Filipinos would decorate their houses with the Christmas lanterns. We got into groups, so it was a group work.

We made it out of paper, straws and tinsels. The paper we used were card stock. We folded strips of papers. Then shaped them like a star. Then we made another copy of the star. We glued together the edges of the two paper stars.  We put a little piece of straw inside to make it stand out.

Be Positive Cyber Smart

Hello readers, last Monday we did our Cyber Smart. It was about being positive online and offline. We watched a video about being positive. Then we had to create a poster about it. The video was about negative comments online. If negativity is spread, everybody will think the same. That is why we need to keep positive.

New Poem Writing

Hello Readers, We made two poems, they are quite interesting.  This two poems are called Limericks and Tanka. Limericks is about the rhyme not the syllables.

Tanka has five lines. It goes 5, 7, 5, 7 and 7. Those numbers represent how many syllables each line needs to be. About Tanka we had to write about spring, a pet, and a family member.  I don't have a pet  though.

On limericks it also have five lines. It wasn't about the syllables. It was about the rhyme. It goes long long short short long. The line that is suppose to be long needs to have the same rhyme. The one that is suppose to be short the end of their sentences needed to rhyme.

Hello Readers, I am going to talk about poem writing. Recently in our writing we have been doing some poem writing. We started with an acrostic poem with our name. Then we did a Cinquain about sports. We learnt things about poem too. There are different types of poem.

Mufti Day

Hello Readers, Last week's Thursday we had a mufti day. It wasn't an original mufti. We had to bring a can of food to be able to wear mufti. The can I brought wasn't  that interesting. I brought black beans.

Everybody wore different clothes as the others. My friends almost had the same clothes as mine. It was so different for me cause I didn't recognise some people. Some people bring cans but decided to wear the school uniform instead. I don't have much information but here is some photos.

Making Containers

Hello everyone, Yesterday we started making containers because we had a little problem with our sausage sizzles. People started to drop their sausage after getting it. We had into groups in two or maybe three. I got into a group of three. The people who I was working with was Nevaeh and Tori.

This was a few days ago it just got stuck in my draft.

I already imaged what our container looked like.

We had to measure the sausage sizzle. We had a prototype of the sausage sizzle. We had to measure the bread to get the idea of  our container.  I don't have that much information but here is a photo of our container.

The paper is quite bright because the sun is shining on the paper.

Pizza Lunch!! 🍕🍕

Hello Readers, on Wednesday the 31st of July the people who blogged during holidays like me had a pizza lunch. All my effort for blogging about activities in the Holidays was for a pizza lunch and also because I'm wasn't busy during the holidays.

People from other room in HPS was there. There wasn't that much people that blogged. We had different type of pizzas. There was a pepperoni, classic cheese and hawaiian. I'm not sure if there was ham and cheese. We grabbed a plate and grabbed a pizza. Either it was pepperoni or hawaiian. We were aloud to have seconds and thirds. I still wanted more but i was a bit stuffed. The pizza was great.
The cheese was kind of too stretchy. My favourite pizza was the pepperoni.

I am looking forward fr another pizza lunch but maybe not this term.
