This week 100 word count

Hello Everybody this blog post is about my 100 word count. If you don't know what 100 word count means, it means your story must be a 100 words. Each week you are given a sentence, a picture or 5 words. This week we are given 5 words to fit in our story. It could be in any order but the word must be in your story. My story is about a game. I live in an apple farm but a banana tree shows up.

Here is my 100 word count story:
It was a new day in my video game. It was called Apple farm. I walked around every Apple tree to pick the bright red ones but then a tree appeared. It looked like a banana tree but what was it doing in an apple farm. I took out my very heavy black ladder. As I climbed up to get the bananas I realised that my ladder was not tall enough to reach it. So I jumped up but then I slipped off the ladder and fell. It took damage through my character so I had to restart the game.

Cyber Smart.

Bonjour everybody. We are working on shortcuts for cyber smart. To improve using shortcuts we had a race about cutting and pasting. The race was in the document. We had to get a buddy and share the document to them. My buddy was Talisa. When we were both ready we started the race. After we had done the race we had to take a screenshot of the time to see who was first. Unfortunately me and Talisa had the same minute of time but we count see how many seconds so we didn't know who won. Talisa just assumed she won.

Here is what the race looked like:

Learning some Photography Skills

Hello everyone for our topic we are moving on learning some photography skills. First we learnt about Rule of thirds. The thirds are cut up horizontally and vertically. The object you are taking a photo has to be on one of the thirds. That means it is either at the top, bottom, left or right. If your object is either at the left or right it has to be facing opposite direction you are on.

The skill we had to learn was Limb chops. Basically if you cut out someones joint in your photo you simply cut it shorter to make it better. If a random hand is in your photo the way to fix it is to cut out the hand. If you accidentally cut out the person's head, you have to cut it more to make it look like you did it on purpose.

The other skill we had to learn was leading lines. This means the lines in your photo is the first thing you see before you see the whole picture. The lines can be cured or wiggly.

Here are example of each skill.

100 word count

Hello everybody, This blog post is about my week 5  100 word count. The 100 word count challenge was a picture our story had to flow with the picture. My 100 word count is about me delivering a package.

Here is my 100 word count story:
It was normal of me delivering a small package, I arrived at my destination. I slowly stepped on the stairs. The stairs were the colour of blood, it made me worry. My finger came closer to the doorbell. Slowly and carefully my fingers touched the doorbell. I removed my fingers from the dirty old doorbell. I waited and then I heard the doorbell ring after I pressed it. A letter came out from under the door, it said look inside the package.  I opened the lid and my eyes blew off, it was hand that had been cut off.

Here is the picture:

This Week's Buddy Class

Good day everyone, This week we have our buddy class. Our buddy class this year is Room 3/4. We each had a buddy, my buddies name is Steffi.

We had a piece of paper for two. A character from Sesame Street was on the paper. We had to colour it in and cut it out by using the lines and then glue it together. There was a twist, we didn't knew how they would like when they are glued together the teacher didn't tell us.

By doing this we are being a great Kaitiakitanga, meaning guardians of the environment. The character from Sesame Street was "Oscar the Grouch." Some of us didn't know what he looked like so some of us didn't knew the colours to put in him. I only know a little bit of Sesame Street. Our buddies were only 5 so some of the our buddies didn't knew how to cut or glue.

Here is are some photos:

100 word count Challenge

Good day everyone,

We started a 100 word count challenge this week. Each week we get given a new 100 word count challenge to do. Each 100 word count challenge has a twist to it. For this week we had 5 words that we had to fit in our 100 word count story. The challenge in our 100 word count was :

Include all 5 of these words in a 100 word story
Giraffe   Pink Dusty   Sang Painful
My story is about an island and a giraffe singing horribly.

Here is my story:

I found an Island with rainbow coloured sand and purple coconuts. I found different kinds of animals with different personalities. There were pink giraffes that could stand with their two hooves. I suddenly heard a croaky painful voice, it sounded like a duck squawking in the morning. It was a pink giraffe singing with his hands out. His name was Dusty. He saw me and stopped singing, then he asked if I could rate his singing voice. My face started to sweat. I heard his voice before it was horrible, then he sang. My ears were in total pain.

Colourful Puzzles

Hello, this is my first blog post of the term.

Recently we have been working on our bright and colourful puzzles. We each get a puzzle and write some facts about us. We had to write our name and age on the puzzle. We also had to draw things that we like to do. By making the puzzle we can learn other peoples interests and a bit about themselves.
My puzzle had my age, my name, what country I'm from and things I like to do.  We had a choice of either we draw out picture or take a pic and printed it. The things I like to do is watch TV, play games, eat, draw and play hockey. At the end when we finished all our puzzle our teacher would stick them together in order and it would look like a puzzle.

Her is a picture of my puzzle:
