How Winter Sports Went πŸ’⚽πŸ‰

Hello Reader, This blog post is about last week's winter sports.

When the bell rang we had to line up at the court in our sport lines. Each sport team had a teacher/staff that looked after them. Our one is Miss Scott. When we went to the field we were kind of lost. We didn't knew what field we were playing on. Luckily we finally found our field and then found our coaches. The eagles coach which is my coach, was called Adi. The other teams coach was called Tina. Adi didn't knew a lot about hockey though she plays rugby and basketball. We had to introduce ourselves and introduce the sport to Adi. We talked about what kind of skills we needed to work on. When we started our game, we versed Wigram. On the first round I was a defender, a few round later I decided to be an attacker though it made everyone made a big bunch. The defenders weren't guarding the goalie like they were suppose to be. They were with the attackers making a big bunch. The game went pretty well and I'm expecting this week's winter sport will be even better.

Here are some photos of the Hawks and The Eagles:

Winter Sports Starting πŸ‘⚽πŸ‰πŸ…

Hello everyone, today seniors from our school will be competing with other seniors from other schools. In term 2 we chose sports that we wanted to do for winter sports. The choices that we could choose were: Hockey, Netball, Soccer and Rugby. Out of those choices, I chose hockey. Last year I also played hockey so that means I had quite a bit of experience from last year. Each sport was separated into teams. Some sports have 2, 3 or 4 teams. The game will start after our lunch is over. The seniors are very excited and so am I. I hope our first games will turn out great.

Technology Challenge 😯

Hello everyone. Today we had a Technology challenge. Our teacher gave us a problem and we had to solve it. There are poisoned plants that have grown next to a tree. We had to get the fruit that was on the tree without stepping on the floor or the poisoned plants (felts). Each group had to make stilts to be able to cross over the poisoned plants and grab the fruit (aka yellow ball). We had 20 minutes to make our stilts. When you reached the finish line our stilts had to be measured.

We actually had no idea what stilts were but we just took the challenge and made whatever we could. Our equipment that we could use was scissors (to cut), some news paper and a 2 metre string. Our team was really frustrated and we were clearly not working as a team. We decided on one thing and then a few minutes we had another idea. Basically we were just switching ideas to ideas.

We had no more sellotape and our stilt kept on braking. We were all frustrate and didn't know what to do until our teacher said we only had 5 minutes left. For the last 5 minutes we just stuffed the newspaper into one of our teammates shoes. Apparently we were allowed to use our shoes. All the teams were basically disqualified either because they fell or their paper were to thin to be measured.

Here is some photos of us doing the challenge:

Have a great holiday

πŸŽ‰Last Blog Post of the TermπŸŽ‰

Hello everyone, it's the last week of Term 2, meaning the holidays are near. For 100 word count, we had to have a phrase that our teacher has given us. The phrase that was given to our class was 'and then I saw it'.
It's an interesting phrase. I decided to make a story about a traveller trying to get to her destination, which is called Sunset falls.

Here is my 100 word count:
I like to travel places until I find something amazing. Legends has it that if you hike to the Sunset falls and make a wish at the same time as the sunset, it will come true. So I hiked to the sunset falls. When it started setting I only had one wish. “I wish to see my mother.” I said.  Till this day I believe that she is still alive. After my wish a bright shiny light shone in my eyes and it whispered in my ears, “It’s me, my daughter. You don’t need to be scared, I’m somewhere safe.”

If you made a wish, what would it be?
