We have a new topic this term. We decided last term that our topic for term 2 would be about ancient Egypt. We had already done 3 activities that relate to ancient Egypt in one week. We learned information about ancient Egypt by watching a video. We had cards that we had to match. We also had a slide that shows how pharaohs live and more other stuff. we also made a cartouche. We wrote our name on the cartouche. Egyptians believed that if there name was written on a cartouche they would live in the after life. In ancient Egypt there weren't any letters before so letters were made by pictures. Only some people had learnt how to write.
Here are some photos of our ancient ancient Egypt topic:

Making Foil Art
Hello again, this week we had another art activity. This time our art includes tinfoil, colourful sharpies and yarns.
First we had to draw our pattern. My pattern was a little bit weird. My one looked more like a snake. Some of us decided to do our name into a pattern.
Then we had to add a string or yarn over the lines. After that we place tinfoil over in the middle. The tinfoil had to be a little bit bigger then the paper. The we pressed it down on the back so that it would stand out more. We fold the extra bit of the tin foil and then we coloured it in.
We chose our 2 or 3 colours of sharpie. We were not allowed to put the same colour next to each other.
Here is how it looks:
Always welcome to give some feedback.
Can you Guess which one is mine?
It has the colour pink, dark pink and blue.

Student Summit Adventure!
Hello again readers. Today I had an experience at the Student Summit. Seniors were chosen to present or teach how to do that toolkit they chose. Our group chose to do an animation on a slide. We made our characters by shapes, and the others were searched by google. The people chosen in our class was Jacob, Nuu, Talisa, Ahyan, Jaedun, and Me, but Talisa Ahyan and Me only wanted to go. Shylah also came with us because she really wanted to do it. So me,Talisa and Shylah were a group. Ahyan was on his own. There were others from senior classes too. We were surprised that we were going to go to South Hornby School to do our student summit. There were sessions that we were put on. Our group was on session 2. While we were not presenting anything yet we get to choose an activity that we could learn about. In session 1 I chose Biteable. On session 2 I was presenting on session 3 I picked scratch as my activity. Too bad Shylah didn't come to present with us because she was away.
Here is what i did for any activities:

Weekend Fun!
Hello this is a blog post about my weekend. Today we went to Hoyts and watched Captain Marvel. It was so cool to watch. We ran out of popcorn already but it was okay. We thought we were the only ones going to watch the movie because we entered there first. When it finished many people rushed to get to the toilet. This was my second time watching a movie in Hoyts.

Duffy Theatre!!
Hi readers and viewers. Do you know that a Duffy Theatre was presented to us. Well maybe not, but it all happened yesterday. They were talking about a video game it was so cool. The little kids were noisy though. Even though it was so loud we enjoyed the acting they showed us. Good thing we were at the back because we could kneel down without bothering someone. Some of the students came up to help them act.
Here are some photos some of the act they did:
Thank you for reading my blog post.
Always welcome please do give a comment of what I can improve on.

Colour your Day!
We had our mufti day last Friday, (22 of march). We had to bring a gold coin and give it to our school's office. It was for the Muslim community. The teachers and staff were wearing a head scarf. Some student also wore head scarfs. We had a great and wonderful time wearing mufti. The high school invited us to make the word aroha. it meat love. Our school had to make the letter O the rest of the Hornby High School students did the other letters. All of us thought that a drone was going to take a picture of us in the air. We think that the man behind us was taking photo of us.
