We have been working on hooking the reader in by using our senses. Hooking the reader in makes them ask question about whats going to happened next.
Here is what I have done:
The ball was bouncing slowly in my mind, I didn’t know what I should do. I was only good at
passing not shooting to get a score. I looked at my teammates, there were all blocked. I knew
I couldn't shoot it, but i had to give it a try.

Tik,tok, tik, tok the time was running fast and the cheerleaders were cheering for us, but I think
they shouldn’t because I can’t shoot.
they shouldn’t because I can’t shoot.
I jumped up and took a score... and hit the referee right on his arm. “Ooops, sorry referee.”
(Beeeeeep) the referee whistled.
(Beeeeeep) the referee whistled.
They changed the referee and the old referee went to the hospital because he had broken a
bone in his arm. I tried again. Anytime I had tried I couldn’t score, maybe I could hit the other
referee again. Luckily they bought a lot of referees. I thought about the one time I did score
when I was 7 years old. I whispered to myself, “I can do it, I’m a, champion. I just know it.”

proud of me, our team got the trophy. It was a dream come true.

“Yeahhhh!” people screamed. Everyone was suprised, because they knew that I couldn’t shoot.
“Goooo!, Tigers!” the cheerleaders cheered. “Tigers, winner’s,” one person was saying.
Suddenly a lot of people started to say “Tigers, winners!” as well. “Tigers, are winers!” everyone
screamed.

When the game finished one of our teammates seemed to be missing, it was Fred. I looked
outside and he was being carried by the other team. “Oyy, I thought you were gonna let us win,”
the other team that we beaten said.

“I’m so, so sorry I thought Vicky wouldn’t make it. Said Fred confusingly.
“STOP right there.” I said to the other team.
“Vicky, what are you doing here”. Fred asked.
“Our other teamates are looking for you let’s go.” I said.
We ran fast as we could, but the other team was still catching up. I called my teammates so that
they could help us. There they were waiting for us at the parking area. We saw them with... The
referee.

“Wait, is that the referee?” Fred and I said.
“Who cares if that’s referee just ask for help.” Fred said
“Help, help us the other team is chasing us,” we both said as loudly as we could.
“Fred, there you are,” One of our teamates said.
When we got closer to them we asked for help.
“Help us, the other team is chassing us.” I said while puffing loudly.
“Oh, No they’re not.” the referee said. “Oyy, what are you doing.” the referee said bravely.
“We...we, were cha-chassing..them..” the other team said.
“You did what,(beeep) you are out of the game, for now.” said the referee.
“Oh, man” said the other team briefly.
