The Techie Group

Hello everyone, the techie group is back and we were learning about some basic hardware parts of the computer.
The names were RAM, ROM, CPU, Mass storage and GPU.

RAM also knows as Random Access Memory.
RAM runs between CPU and Mass Storage. It also forgets everything when you close the lid.

ROM also knows as Read Only Memory
ROM tells you basic instructions.

Mass Storage
Mass Storage helps keep your documents all together.

GPU, Graphics Processing Unit
GPU focuses on showing everything on your screen.

CPU, Central Processing Unit
CPU is very fast and smart. CPU turns info into instructions.

Swimming!

Hello readers, we have been swimming since the first day of term 4. The place we go to is called Canterbury Swim School.  We swim with Room 1. We got our swimming teachers. I am with a man called Huia. The people who are in our group was Michaela, Tori, Temera, Tiana, Kody, Bryce and Sonnie. We were practising free style and back stroke. We did the worm too.  We also learnt how to breathe properly while swimming.
